Stay cool and nourished with this dairy free frozen grape and vanilla coconut smoothie! Super creamy, delicious, and packed full of healthy nutrients!! Great for breakfast or post workout too.
These cherry limeades only call for 3 ingredients (4 if you want to sweeten them) and are ready in just 5 minutes. I was making the "lazy version" of these all last summer. Yes, this recipe only takes 5 minutes but it's not the lazy version. That involves pouring sparkling water into a cup with cherries and a lime wedge and smashing it all up with my reusable straw while I drink it. This summer, I've decided to make the recipe a bit more sophisticated with a better flavor and even a beautiful color.
This may be my new favorite recipe! I seriously can’t get over how good it is. We received fennel in our CSA basket from Bloomsbury Farms last week. To be honest, I have not done a lot with fennel in the past so was trying to think of some different ways to use it. I think that is one of the best parts of having a CSA. You are more prone to try new stuff if you are given it.
I also had a lot of cabbage so decided to make a seasonal and refreshing summer slaw. I also really love a good slaw. It took me a while to figure out what type of dressing I wanted on it. I played around with different flavors and finally decided that the sweetness of the orange and fresh basil would complement the vegetables and peach perfectly.
I promise I do use other herbs than cilantro. I am really sorry if you are one of those people who genetically hate cilantro because it tastes like soap. This has been one of my favorite ways to make grilled chicken for a long time. I am not really sure why it has taken me so long to post the recipe for it. It is super simple and always a huge hit for a crowd.
You can easily double this recipe and grill a bunch of chicken for a BBQ or if you just want to eat a lot of chicken. I prefer to grill this recipe because the flavor really shines. You can also pan fry it if you don’t have a grill. I find that it usually takes long to cook on a stove (or maybe my stove stinks).
This chicken is great by itself or served on top of a salad, cauliflower rice or with a bunch of super fresh summer salsa.

Summer is all about tomatoes and salsa for me right now. I decided to take some of the ingredients from my CSA basket and use that for the salsa. I thought that the leek would lend a more mellow onion flavor and the roasted bell peppers would complement the sweet tomato flavor.
I had a major sweet tooth and it was freakishly hot outside so decided to make a dessert smoothie bowl and it was SO good! I felt like I was eating fro-yo which I haven’t had in years so I was pretty excited!
I really love how this has no refined or added sugars! It’s just mixed berry and banana frozen fruit and delicious toppings. I chose to put cocoa nibs on top so satisfy my chocolate chip craving. Even though I have added chocolate chips and cocoa nibs and that is pure magic!
Frozen fruit lends the best texture for these smoothie bowls because you want it to be thick. I have a blendtec and it definitely gives it a run for its money. I would recommend starting with less liquid and adding as you go.
Feel free to add your favorite fruits and toppings and enjoy this delicious fro-yo style smoothie bowl!
