The giveaway has ended. Thank you!
Picture this. It’s a warm Saturday afternoon, and you’re getting ready to do some weekend baking from Make It Paleo 2, our brand new cookbook! Up on the list is a layer cake with a meringue frosting. Which, as you might guess from the title, is a copy of the wedding cake we had at OUR wedding. Super yum!
And you have the perfect tool for an afternoon full of baking sweet treats. A KitchenAid stand mixer. But not just any KitchenAid mixer. The BIG ONE. Their 7 quart mixer is the top of the line consumer model, basically a professional mixer that they can sell to regular folks. It’s the culinary equivalent of putting on your superhero cape… suddenly, you can do anything!
(Click above to PIN this image!)
We’re IN LOVE with our 7 quart KitchenAid.
We’ve been fortunate to have this very same mixer in our kitchen for three years now, and it is, without a doubt, the most reliably awesome countertop appliance we own. There’s one thing you can always count on: a KitchenAid will do exactly what its supposed to do. How many things can you actually say that about these days? We’ve used our 7qt KitchenAid through the making of THREE cookbooks, and it has never let us down!
Meringue Frosting (Pg 382) from Make It Paleo 2
Well, you’re here to have a shot at winning one, right? Cool! We always love giving things away that we ALSO love, and can stand behind. This is always our favorite giveaway of the year, because it’s a product we thoroughly believe in. Every spring, we partner with KitchenAid in celebration of their sponsorship of the senior PGA event. This year’s 2015 Senior PGA event is being held at French Lick Resort (in Indiana), which is a Pete Dye designed golf course. As a former landscape architect, that name carries some serious clout (sort of like having a Picasso painting, or living in a building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, or eating a dish personally cooked by Thomas Keller). You get the point, yeah? It’s a big deal.
So in celebration of KitchenAid and the Senior PGA Tour event at French Lick, we get to give away their biggest and best stand mixer! Seriously!
Let’s take a moment to admire it in action:
(You can find that recipe at the bottom of this post!)
So picture yourself winning one of these! Entering this year’s giveaway is easier than ever before.

I think I’d use mine to whip up some coconut cream.
I would (will) make the Strawberry Shortcake because it’s my favourite and is that time of year! FYI – your Carrot Cake from Make It Paleo is still the BEST I’ve ever had. Thanks for your dedication to this lifestyle and generously sharing it with the rest of us.

Coconut milk whipped cream!!! That’s only if I could stop screaming from excitement that I had won the mixer. 😀
Oh my goodness, the mess I would make in my kitchen! Having a heavy-duty mixer like the Kitchen Aid 7-Quart would allow all sorts of goodies to be concocted for my family and friends, as well as treating myself with the yummy goodness recipes found on primalpalate.com!
Since both my kids have b-days coming up I would def use this for making some cake.
Coconut Whipped Cream for topping Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries!

I’d probably make some amazing paleo cookies!
I am just starting on my paleo journey, but I am an avid baker and I would use this mixer to help me paleoize (Not a word, I know!) some of my favorite recipes. My last mixer died about a month ago (Sadly it was not a KitchenAid) and I am saving up to buy myself a KitchenAid that will hopefully last longer!
Would definitely make the Sour Cream Coffee Cake from Gather with this bad boy!
I would make a dairy free, whipped dip for all of the yummy fruit that is in season!
These are the best mixers!! I would make all the paleo baked goods I can think of but probably start with strawberry shortcake, since it is straeberry season and one of my favorite desserts
The first thing I’d make is some sort of chocolate cake. Haven’t had that in forever!
I would love to make paleo cookies and brownies with the stand mixer! 🙂
Ooh, what would I make with my first kitchenaid mixer…? I would have to go with your paleo tiramisu! Now I’ve got a craving haha
If I won the mixer I probably would try a meringue first. But I would also get the meat grinder attachment, and make sausage.
I’d for sure have to try the strawberry shortcake!
I’m totally making coconut cake if I win. 🙂
This recipe looks DELISH! I do not have any fancy mixers or food processor so would have to do this by hand- EK! It would be so awesome to make this dish with that new mixer- hint hint 😉 Thanks for the great give away!!!
No doubt – meringue – it’s such a pain with a hand mixer! Thanks for hosting this contest!!!
I would make a homemade lemon pound cake with walnuts with it first if I won it!
Strawberry shortcake! Yum!!
I would make a huge batch of your pasta from MIP2!! I’m a sucker for pasta and have missed it so much. Coincidentally I am also a sucker for excuses to buy Kitchenaid attachments 🙂
I would make whipped califlour mashed potatoes! And I would probably make a dessert- paleo lemon bars or brownies!! I don’t have a mixer but definitely need one to make more primal palate recipes! 🙂
This strawberry shortcake looks amazing! So I would make that too!
We have a 40th birthday coming up for my better half in June so I was thinking the Paleo Angel Food cake with raspberries, lemon curd, whipped cream with a touch of crushed toasted pistachios for a little texture. (Thank you for all that you do and share! It is appreciated!)
Oh my good gracious – the question would be what *wouldn’t* I make with this beautiful machine! Between yours and Brittany Angell’s recipes, I’ll be busy for a long while! 😉
I’ve been dying to try your Carrot Cake recipe! My husband loves carrot cake (as do I), and it sounds like it would be the perfect fit for us. Add to that the use of a great mixer (as opposed to my hand-held one), and I’d be ready for action! 🙂
I would make a recipe from my copy of Make It Paleo 2! I also followed on Twitter and registered
I’d use it to make my grandparent’s 58th wedding anniversary cake!
I would probably make the Strawberry shortcake recipe listed above this, it was my favorite childhood cake!
I would make so many cookies with this thing!
After watching that strawberry shortcake tutorial, I think I would have to make that first if I won! Yum!
I want to make the dark chocolate cake from Make it Paleo II Can’t wait it looks amazing!! Love your books!
