Cranberry Bars
These sweet and slightly tangy Cranberry Bars are delicious and healthy dessert, made with only a handful of wholesome ingredients.
Ingredients
- 2 cup 2 cup 2 cup Blanched Almond Flour, (for the crust)
- 0.5 cup 0.5 cup 0.5 cup Arrowroot Powder, For the crust, plus 1 TBSP for filling
- 0.25 cup 0.25 cup 0.25 cup Organic Coconut Oil, (for the crust)
- 0.5 cup 0.5 cup 0.5 cup Pure Maple Syrup, divided (.25 for the crust, .25 for the filling)
- 2 cup 2 cup 2 cup fresh Cranberries
- 1 tsp 1 tsp 1 tsp Orange Zest
- 0.5 whole 0.5 whole 0.5 whole Orange, juiced
- 0.5 tsp 0.5 tsp 0.5 tsp Almond Extract
- 0.25 tsp 0.25 tsp 0.25 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- combine the first 4 ingredients together to form a dough
- Cut out 1/4 of the dough and set aside
- Press the remaining 3/4 of the dough into a well greased 8x8 baking dish
- Mix all of the ingredients for the filling together in a large bowl
- Pour the filling into the prepared 8x8 baking dish
- Crumble the 1/4 of dough (that had been set aside) over the top of the filling
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until the top starts to lightly brown
- Allow to cool and serve
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge
