Chocolate Caramel Pecan Pie Bars
decadent chocolate, caramel, and pecans dessert bars.
Ingredients
- 2 cup 2 cup 2 cup Blanched Almond Flour
- 0.5 cup 0.5 cup 0.5 cup Arrowroot Powder
- 0.375 cup 0.375 cup 0.375 cup Maple Syrup, Pure, divided (1/4 cup for base, 2 TBSP for caramel)
- 0.375 cup 0.375 cup 0.375 cup Coconut Oil, Organic, divided (1/4 cup melted for base, 2 TBSP for caramel)
- 1 cup 1 cup 1 cup Pecans, chopped
- 0.5 cup 0.5 cup 0.5 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
- 0.333 cup 0.333 cup 0.333 cup Coconut Sugar
- 0.333 cup 0.333 cup 0.333 cup Coconut Cream
Process
Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Combine the almond flour, arrowroot powder, 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, and 1/4 cup melted coconut oil in a large bowl until a dough forms
- Line an 8x8 baking dish with aluminum foil and grease the foil (the aluminum foil is optional, it just makes clean-up way easier)
- Press the dough for the base into the greased baking dish
- Sprinkle the pecans and chocolate chips on top of the base
- Combine the remaing ingredients for the caramel in a small saucepan over medium heat
- Allow to come to a boil and then simmer 10-15 minutes until the mixture start to caramelize (stirring frequently)
- Pour the caramel over the pecan and chocolate chip topping
- Bake for 20-30 or until the caramel is nice and bubbly all over
- Allow to cool and serve
