Beef with Broccoli

Growing up, we both enjoyed the flavors of Chinese cuisine. This dish brings all those flavors to life, but with a much healthier approach. Simple, bold flavors will make this dish an instant classic in your house.

I made this for dinner tonight. Needed something quick and easy and this was perfect. I did make the addition of water chestnuts (have young children who need a few more carbs than the hubby and I do). It was amazing and there were no leftovers!

This was a great recipe along with the cauliflower rice. Next time we’ll leave out the 1 tsp of salt though, because the Coconut Aminos we used was plenty. I used the recipe from the cookbook, but now that I know we like it, it’s nice that I can come on here to print it out for next time.

This was AMAZING! I haven’t had chinese food in a while, and Paleo has completely changed my taste buds, but seriously, I think this is the best asian dish I’ve ever had. I couldn’t believe I made it myself in like 30 minutes!! So far my favorite recipe from ‘Make it Paleo’ 🙂

Absolutely delicious! I’m doing a whole30 right now and was having a bad thought day. All I wanted was crap. I knew I needed a flavorful meal at dinner to change my thinking and the Beef with Broccoli was perfect! Served it with cauliflower rice.

Day 19 of the Whole30 .. wasn’t sure what to make tonight. Came across this website (LOVE it) and saw this recipe. We greatly enjoyed it!!! I added some mushrooms (hope they are Whole30 approved!?) and made the cauli rice. My husband is adjusting nicely to the change in our diet .. as long as I don’t mention the use of fish sauce! LOL We have tried something different 18 of the 19 days and so far, we couldn’t be happier! So thankful we are making this change. We are encouraging our skeptical friends to climb aboard the healthy lifestyle we have switched to! Good luck to all … this feels great!!!

This recipe was very easy to make and delicious!
BUT….I would make one small change to the recipe. I’m okay with spicy food, but this dish (following directions perfectly), was incredibly spicy. I couldn’t resist eating it, but I would have to down water after each bite.
I would suggest lowering the Red pepper flakes to 1/4-1/2 tsp, depending on how much spice one can handle.

This was delicious! The only change I’d make is that I would slice the beef thinner, in strips, rather than cubed because it was too chewy. I served it over sauteed shredded cabbage (in coconut oil) and was pleasantly surprised. As a notorious rice eater, I was a little skeptical about how good broccoli beef would be without white rice. I’m a changed woman!

Analiza: Glad to hear you enjoyed the recipe. Hayley made this Monday morning for our Team Meeting and I was amazed by this dish. Glad we were able to share this one with you guys. I agree that the shredded cabbage makes a great replacement for rice. Happy cooking!

I stumbled on this recipe when googling Paleo beef and broccoli. I made it tonight and my husband and I loved it!!!! I found the instructions easy to follow. Only problem I had was not knowing how much time (if any) to spend on steps 4-6. I made some slight changes to the recipe. Used 1 tsp. ground ginger instead of fresh, and used slightly less than 1 tsp of salt, pepper, and red pepper. Other than that, followed it exactly. Very tasty! Will definitely be making this again.

Thank you! We often use ground ginger as well. It works great. So glad you enjoyed this recipe!

This was so fabulous! I can’t even believe it. I have been using this site and recipes for a week now and so happy. I didn’t feel well last night so my boyfriend made it. Easy to make and so unbelievably delicious. My son scarfed it down as well. No leftovers tonight!
