Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Begin by lightly thawing one package of our chocolate chip cookie dough (made by Cappellos). You can get this online, and also in many stores in the US.
  2. Slice the cookie dough roll into 12-14 equally sized rounds. Roll them into balls, and set aside.
  3. Gently melt 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips and 1 tbsp of palm shortening (usually marketed as Vegetable shortening) over low heat. Stir frequently until smooth, then remove from heat.
  4. Using a toothpick, dip the cookie dough balls into the melted chocolate. Allow as much to drip off as possible, then set on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  5. Chill or freeze until serving.

Wow! Thank you for this recipe. What gave you this idea? I can’t wait to try it out and bring to parties here in the Buckeye state!

The idea just came to me, but I’m not the first one to think of it, because others have definitely done it too.
