Hi! My name is Monica, and I am infatuated with all things FOOD and FITNESS. I cannot stress that enough. Though my journey has not been very long I have learned so much about myself along the way. My story is filled with plenty of frustration and tears, some of pain, some of joy. How much of each doesn’t really matter, because now I am HERE. I am here to share (with anyone who can stand my banter!) what I have learned thus far. I am not a doctor or a nutritionist, nor do I have a degree in sports nutrition or exercise science. I am simply here to give personal advice acquired through experience to anyone who wants it. I am here to answer questions, share recipes, and sometimes just to recap the end of a long week. I do not eat perfectly, nor do I follow a specific “diet”. Contrary to popular belief, I BELIEVE you should be able to eat whatever you want. That being said, I also believe that if your body is disagreeing with the food you are putting into it, you should not be putting it there. I really have loved the Paleo lifestyle, and I believe it has done wonders for my health, inside and out. I do not follow it 100%, nor do I encourage anyone to do so. We all have different dietary needs and our bodies respond accordingly. I write this blog from the outskirts of San Diego, California. I recently picked up my things and left the city for a town further North (and away from the coast unfortunately). I love to work, period. I love going to work at my “day job” and I love going to the gym to work out. I love working it out in the kitchen, as well *hence the title of my blog* My goal in writing this blog is to inspire YOU to change your lifestyle… IF YOU WANT TO! It’s that simple. If you don’t cook, I want you to start. If you have been glued to your couch everyday before and after work, I want you to get up and get moving. I want to improve your day-to-day quality of life.
