These skewers bring unique flavors to classic grilled steak. Cinnamon is a great pairing with beef, albeit underutilized. The addition of curry and ginger give this dish a warm and slightly tangy flavor.

Note, these instructions are written assuming the standard serving size, since you have modified the number of servings, these steps may need to be modified for best results
  1. Soak wooden steak skewers in water for an hour prior to grilling.
  2. Cut steaks into cubes and place in container to marinate.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together marinade ingredients.
  4. Pour marinade over steak, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour, up to 24 hours.
  5. Preheat grill to high heat.
  6. Skewer steak onto wooden skewers.
  7. Grill skewers 12–16 minutes, turning every 3–4 minutes.
  8. Plate steak skewers over your choice of salad and serve.

Notes

This cinnamon rub is fantastic on any cut of steak, and would also be wonderful on bison, as well as chicken.

      I made these for dinner a few nights ago for my family of 4. I have 2 teens who are not loving this new switch to paleo… they miss chips, bread and potatoes. :) Recipes like this one help to make the switch. Great flavor! I had hoped to have leftovers for lunch the next day, but no such luck. They were all devoured. Served it with the suggested arugula and asparagus salad and it too was a hit!

      Our family really enjoyed these … very different and a nice change-up. Next time I will back down on the cinnamon by about half, but we also didn’t mind it as it was. I had a hard time coming up with a side dish for this, and realized mid-meal that a sweet potato or pumpkin side would be perfect. Great recipe!
