My before?  Zero energy, would rather sit than do anything, had to have an afternoon nap most days.  I had all sorts of minor ailments, things I attributed to old age.  To be honest, the first time I heard about Paleo, I knew there was no way I could do it, and I dismissed it as ridiculous.  After all, I had no willpower.  That was what had gotten me obese, for goodness sake!  No willpower, no ability to resist those Reese's Cups at the checkout line.  But, I like to pick big sacrifices to offer to God at Lent.  I usually give up TV and sweets and so forth -- it is easier to do something for God than it is to do it for myself.  So I gave up the grains and dairy groups as part of my Lenten offering last year.  What I discovered was huge!  At the end of the forty days, I felt so terrific, so energetic, so clear minded, there was no going back.  In fact, I was then on a long quest to make my outsides match how great I was feeling on the inside!  Now, a year later, I am down 85 pounds, with full confidence that I will continue to lose weight.  I've completed a 5K, played laser tag for the first time, been rock wall climbing, and started a walking group.  Hiking a local mountain top and kayaking are my goals in the near future.  What a difference a year of Paleo makes!

(PS I don't see how to add before and after photos to this post, but I have them!)

I noticed a differance in the belly digestion part , don't feel as bloty or hungry even for sweet things.  If I want something sweet I cook up saute cabbage or Brussel sprouts and add a fried egg on it throw garic.
