I was excited to see a thread for Asheville because I will be visiting later on this week!!  Last year I was there we ate at the Tupelo Honey Cafe and it was amazing…they seemed to have pretty paleo-friendly options.

I lived in Asheville about 6-7 years ago (long before paleo). Make a point to visit the Grove Park Inn, not for anything Paleo-related, but their terrace has an incredible view that overlooks the Smoky Mountains. It's unbelievable! :)

Ahhh I just looked at their website and it's so beautiful! I will be staying primarily in Mars Hill, NC for about a week, but we will be going into Asheville a few times -- anything you can recommend to do for fun/entertainment would be appreciated!

The other thing I'd strongly recommend is driving north on the Blue Ridge Parkway towards Mt. Mitchell (about 20 miles north of Asheville). The BRP was designed by landscape architects, and is one of the most beautiful scenic byways in the country! Plus, there is some great hiking when you get up into the mountains!
