I am brand new to all this paleo stuff. I was reading the Primal Blueprint and it made SO MUCH SENSE to me. I got impatient and started reading The 21 Day Transformation and decided yesterday to give it a shot. I bought Make It Paleo today because I had actually tried going paleo a while back (after getting too little information) and after two or three days of eating the same two or three things all day long I thought "this sucks" and went back to my bad habits and the SAD. This time I am actually excited about changing my lifestyle and trying all these new recipes!
I have struggled with weight off and on (mostly on) all my life. It even affected my Air Force career, making me unable to re-enlist because I had lost rank due to weight and did not have enough rank to continue. Four years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have made efforts in the past to make changes. I have bought several pieces of workout equipment and at home 90 day type workouts off of infomercials trying to regain control. Nothing has worked. The paleo lifestyle however makes so much sense to me because it honestly is a LIFESTYLE change, not just "eat less and exercise more." Things like setting a more natural sleep cycle, stress less & play once in a while all sound so very appealing. And a workout philosophy that doesn't involve me killing myself for over an hour six days a week!
Anyway, I look forward to learning from all of you and sharing in this lifestyle that I am genuinely looking forward to transitioning into.
