I am fairly new to paleo but I am loving it! My journey started much as others has with a bloated belly and not feeling good most of the time. I was almost ready to give up eating when I decided to go on a cleanse that cut out bread, gluten, pasta, potatoes and rice. I felt great after the cleanse was done and had picked up a little book called "Wheat Belly". From there I have not looked back. My stomach started to shrink immediately, though still not fast enough for me and I love eating! Everyday I look through the "Make it Paleo" cookbook and pick out what I'm going to cook for my family and they love it too. It helps that they are teenage boys with a hankering for meat and an appreciation for vegetables .
My husband has adopted the lifestyle as well though he is still holding on to potatoes and rice but we are working on that. He works out of town and lives in a camp where he cannot prepare his own meals, only make the best choices out of what's available so I'm hoping that is working for him.
It's great to see so many people embracing the caveman diet, just the other day at my sons Kung Fu class I was sitting on the bench next to an adult student who has been paleo for sometime now so I immediately started asking her for advice. It's great to have support where you can find it!
That's enough about me, time to go hunt down something to nosh on.
