Dairy Free: Pasteurized dairy is essentially a dead food. It is heated to kill bacteria, but in that, all of the good bacteria that helps assist in digestion are killed as well. When including dairy in a Paleo diet, it is best to choose grass fed raw dairy from a local farm. Raw dairy that came from an animal that was fed a diet it was supposed to eat is filled with CLA, Vitamin A, as well as Vitamin K. Grass fed dairy is also much higher in omega 3 than pasteurized dairy. When choosing to include dairy in a Paleo diet, we feel it's best to stick with dairy that is high in fat. This would be butter, ghee, or cream. Sources of dairy that are mostly fat usually do not cause digestive distress on those who suffer from a dairy sensitivity. For those who cannot tolerate dairy at all, even raw, grass fed dairy, we have compiled all of our recipes that DO NOT include dairy, just for you!
